Now, I have lived in Korea, and it’s a mixed bag. Racist, xenophobic-you bet! Arrogant? Their media would have you believe that the whole world loves them. Rude? Slamming doors in your face, spitting at your feet, and sneezing/coughing/blowing smoke in your face is accepted behavior. Law abiding? They don’t even respect their own laws, so why would they respect yours?

But I must admit I have been treated well there–as long as I nod my head, bite my tongue and agree that Korea is the greatest place on earth. Now, if I was an Asian foreigner, I’m positive I’d have a different story.
